Placenta Bliss is Julie McBurney, Samantha Dunn, and Andrea Denali. We are independent encapsulation specialists working together to provide a complete service for our clients. We have been serving the lovely families of the Triangle community for over 9 years, 650 placentas and counting!
We welcome you to explore our services and find the right fit for you. We are happy to answer all questions, and talk with you about our service.
We are trained and certified through IPPA, International Placenta & Postpartum Association. As IPPA Specialists, we are considered Personal Chefs. We are trained in food protection and food-safe sanitizing, and have completed the NC Food Safety and Handling Course. We have also completed a Biologix Bloodborne Pathogen Course and adhere to strict, universal handling and sanitizing procedures to prevent transmission of blood-borne pathogens and other common infections while providing placenta encapsulation services. This fulfills the federal workplace safety requirements of OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogen Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1030.
We keep these updated as a part of our certification and to ensure safe encapsulations. We dehydrate to the temperatures of Jerky put forth by FDA for raw and cooked (steamed) meat. Benefits of placenta encapsulation are supported by ongoing research, but have not currently been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
